Holden Bathroom
The client asked for a Master Bathroom remodel that had a few “extras”. The home was a typical center hall colonial with 2 and ½ bathrooms. Our client was very tired of their existing Master Bathroom which had a fiberglass tub with tile surround that had suffered from numerous leaks over the years as well as a cold drafty floor. They also wanted to repurpose some extra walk in closet space into the bath to add some much-needed storage.
During demolition we found the source of the leak, an improperly installed tub surround which allowed water from the shower to run into the framing and damage the ceiling below. We were able to repair the structural damage as well as the plaster ceiling below. We installed our Wedi backer system with custom tiled linear drain as well as custom designed curved bench and niche.
To round out the luxurious upgrades we installed a Schluter tile heat system to address the cold and drafty floors. The system has a Wi-Fi programmable controller that makes sure the floor is at just the right temperature for the client when they want it to be.
Finally, we installed custom built wood floating shelves stained to match a dual vanity upgrade. We use a local craftsman to build our custom woodwork to our specifications, so things fit perfectly.
Net result was a very happy husband and wife in a newly renovated bath.
